Joint Guard for Dogs

The cartilage inside joints is a slippery, cushioning surface between the ends of two bones. It is produced and maintained by its own specialised cells and, along with the joint fluid, allows flexible and comfortable joint movement.
Enzymes activated by age, injury or wear and tear can sometimes breakdown the cartilage. This breakdown can sometimes exceed the rate at which the body can replace it. The ingredients of Joint Guard provide the building blocks the body needs to replace this cartilage.

What is in it ?
The main ingredients are:
Glucosamine hydrochloride: an important nutrient which acts a building block for cartilage to help restore damaged joints, as well as keeping remaining cartilage healthy and functional.
Chondroitin sulphate: a major component of normal cartilage. It helps to block the action of enzymes which break down cartilage.
Joint Guard also contains MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane) that can help to reduce pain and inflammation of the joint. There is also various vitamins and minerals which act as antioxidants to control oxidative injury to the joint.
How
quickly does it work ?
As Joint Guard is a nutritional supplement, and not a drug, it may take some time to see a response. A loading period of 4-6 weeks is required where Joint Guard is given at a slightly higher dose then reduced to a maintenance dose once a response is seen.
