At the First Appointment

An initial evaluation will consist of a complete evaluation of your dog's presenting problem, movement pattern (including walking, running, obstacles, specific activities, etc.), training habits, daily activities and daily habits. We will consider the dog's diet, supplements, and recent care and treatments. As the dog is evaluated, we will take in to consideration the goals of the owner, realistic functional goals for the dog, and predicted course of treatment.
The initial evaluation and treatment typically takes 60 to 90 minutes and will include the evaluation, treatment, and home program. You will be provided with specific exercises and activities to perform at home with your dog if applicable. These activities will be tailored to your specific time constraints and requirements of your pet. A schedule will then be set up for future appointments. Dogs may be seen any where from a few times a week, to a few times a month, to one time per month, depending upon the severity of the problem, owner's constraints, and goals of the dog.
