Dr Elisabeth Knight Veterinary Acupuncture
Dr Liz has been a practicing vet for over 25 years, having trained and worked in Perth, WA before travelling to Hong Kong and the UK to build her extensive experience with countless conditions in countless animals.
As with many vets, she began to feel limited by her conventional training, so embarked on a lengthy training through the Chi University in Florida to learn Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM). There she studied Chinese acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and Chinese food therapy, and has found the use of these modalities life-changing for many animals.
In addition she studied aromatherapy through the Pacific Institute of Aromatherapy, and human acupuncture with Dr Dan Keown through his school The Scientific School of Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture (SSOMA).
She has a well-rounded, gentle and balanced approach which most pets respond very well to. Even fractious cats will be calmer after a little laser therapy to relieve pain and anxiety!
